I make pottery and other artistic works in my home studio in Williamstown, MA. Lately I’ve been working on ink drawings. They are currently on display at the Milne Public Library in Williamstown.
I've been spending lots of time hiking and running on the trails on the Taconic Crest, Mount Greylock, Hopkins Forest, and the roads and byways that lead me there. I often stop to catch my breath, check out the view and take a quick snap. The images of trees and roots and streams and barns and vistas that capture my attention during my adventures have found their way onto these mini-drawings.
It's been my response to our pandemic isolation - both the running and the drawing.
Each image is hand-drawn with an old fashioned nib pen and then attached with bookbinder's glue to a piece of 1/4 inch thick cherry. It's ready to be affixed to your wall with poster putty, or other removable adhesive.
$30 each, $25 each for 2 or more.
If you'd like to visit the exhibit with me during a quiet moment, just send an email to sboydworks@gmail.com to coordinate a time.
